PRESS RELEASEHere is a press release that was sent to popular press magazines. Danfoss has clever solutions for encased radiators The flap need only be opened for cleaningRadiator casings look decorative and can be adapted to specific furnishing styles. In order to ensure that encased radiators work properly, however, Danfoss includes remote adjusters as part of its package. Affixed to a free area in the room, the remote adjuster measures the ambient temperature and provides for a comfortable atmosphere. As a result, the flap need only be opened for cleaning. How often radiators are cleaned - be it once a month or twice a year - is a matter of personal choice. In order to reduce the rate of dust particles in the air of the room, we recommend a thorough cleaning, even during the heating season. In order to ensure that dirt is not raised or dispersed, one should only clean with a damp cloth. The radiator casing can be pulled forward for cleaning purposes. This no longer needs to be done, however, to adjust the temperature. Because the thermostatic valve is concealed, the remote adjuster from Danfoss undertakes this task. Affixed to a free area in the room, it can correctly measure and regulate the ambient temperature. And here's how it works: The small remote adjuster, which also includes the temperature sensing device, can be affixed to any location in the room up to a distance of 15 metres from the radiator. It is usually situated on the wall on a flush-mounted socket or dado trunking. In order to ensure that the sensing device can detect the temperature to the exact degree, the air in the room should be able to circulate as freely as possible around it. Even pushed forward furniture or curtains prove to be "interference factors" in this respect. Temperature regulation is therefore uttermost discreet. The control element and radiator valve are connected via a thin, fluid-filled capillary tube which can even be wallpapered over. If the remote adjuster detects a change in room temperature, the consistency of the fluid changes. If it is too cool, it contracts and opens the radiator valve so that additional hot water can flow into the radiator. If it is too warm, the hot water supply is reduced. In order to prevent the little members of our family who like to experiment from being able to adjust the control unit, it also possesses a limitation and blocking function. The compact, aesthetically pleasing control element inconspicuously occupies its assigned place. Available in pure white and light grey, it fits perfectly into every ambiance. Thanks to its smooth, dirt-resistant surface, even the small control unit can be easily kept clean.
Alpha Deuren banks on aluminium frameworks Doors for transparency and brightnessTransparent structures dominate modern architecture and even lend a noble appearance to industrial facilities. To facilitate this visual appearance, Alpha Deuren (Didam, Holland) offers ALU sectional overhead doors with a visible surface of up to 80%. They can be elegantly integrated into glass façades and in doing so emphasise their design. In enclosed buildings, the doors set a particular tone and provide for maximum exposure to light. There is an increasing emphasis placed on transparency, most notably with prestige properties such as company headquarters, exhibition halls or airports. For workshops and fire brigades, the advantage of natural light is of particular significance. ALU sectional overhead doors are arranged in individual partitions. These consist of frameworks, which are built from aluminium profiles, and offer numerous design options. Combinations with microprofiled ISO panels are also possible. The partitions can be infilled with fully or partially transparent, single or double glazed windows and, if desired, also with a perforated aluminium plate or a closed double-walled sandwich construction. Due to the additional stucco embossing, this construction is considerably less sensitive than a smooth surface. Alpha Deuren firmly believes in panes made from acrylic. This material is considerably more transparent and scratch-resistant than the otherwise frequently used styrene acrylonitrile (SAN). The use of genuine or shatter-proof glass is also possible upon request. The aluminium sections are supplied with a silver-anodised finish as standard. End-caps, strengthening braces and bottom beams on the door are also made from anodised aluminium. The door is therefore exceptionally robust, corrosion-resistant and weatherproof. Rubber profiles provide for a water-tight and draught-proof seal. This makes the Alpha door a high-quality and hard-wearing product. The frame profiles and the non-perforated or perforated infill materials can be colour varnished upon request. There is a choice from a palette of eleven preferred colours which can either match or contrast the façade. In order to be able to adapt doors to suit individual corporate designs, additional RAL colour variations are also possible. The amount of individual sections is dependent on the dimensions of the
door leaf - itself a maximum of 7.5 metres wide and 6 metres high. The
sections can be arranged symmetrically or according to specification.
If necessary, they can also, for example, be aligned relative to other
façade elements such as windows. A serene overall picture of the
façade is thus created. In order to minimise nonessential door
movements, wicket and side doors can be installed. Alpha Deuren delivers
doors which are made to measure, and the modular design principle ensures
that almost every type of customisation is possible. Picture caption: |
